A WATERCOLOR AND INK DECORATED GEBURTS UND TAUFSCHEIN
NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, CIRCA 1813.
The central rectangular form in blue, red, green and yellow featuring rosette decorated spheres at each corner and crowned by an inscribed and decorated arch above, all enclosing the central inscription relating to the birth and baptism of Abraham Scholl, born 10 October 1813 to David Scholl and his wife Maria Magdalena (born Hofman), and baptised in the Evangelican Lutheran Church by Pastor Schindel, the whole flanked by decorated tulip-in-urn motifs and above and below by inscribed hearts, flowers, birds and rosettes--12¼ x 15¾in.
