ATTRIBUTED TO GEORGE PETER DEISERT, ACTIVE CIRCA 1795 - 1815, ADAMS COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, AND FREDERICK COUNTY, MARYLAND, DATED 1794
The large central inscribed heart with information to the birth and baptism of David Biehl on 21 March and 4 May 1794 to David and Susanna Buhl (sic), all enclosing a green scallop decorated and inscribed inner heart, surrounded by scallop decorated satellite hearts all on a cross-hatched brown ground with meandering tulips, flowers and vines, in red, green and brown watercolor pigments with black ink--14¾ x 20¼in.
