Allan Scharff (b. 1945) earned his apprenticeship certificate at Georg Jensen Silversmithy from 1963 to 1967 and continued his education at the Danish Institute of Precious Metals in Copenhagen where he eventually became an instructor. From 1976 to 1988, Scharff received several design awards, participated in numerous group exhibitions, and in 1980 the Museum of Decorative Arts in Copenhagen held the first one-man show of his work.
