The fluted tazza, painted a compendiario in blue enriched with yellow on a white ground with a winged putto, the fluted sides with strapwork, the underside inscribed in red with Sackler number 83.6.2 (restored chips to rim and footrim, test drill hole to footrim)--8¼in. (21cm.) diam.

Sold with thermoluminescence certificate 481a69 dated May 1987 from the Research Laboratory for Archaeology and the History of Art, Oxford University, stating that the sample tested was last fired between 390 and 550 years ago (1437.1597).
