A GEORGE II SILVER COFFEE POT, London, 1753, maker's mark probably that of Robert Albin Cox, elongated pear shape, on molded circular foot, the body chased and engraved with large C scrolls, flowers rocaille, foliage and scalework enclosing two sides vacant shaped oval cartouche, foliate decorated scroll spout, wood scroll handle, both with rocaille joins, the partly decorated molded hinged cover topped by acanthus bud finial--10¾in. (27.3cm.) high, gross weight 27.5oz.
