The coat of arms shows Peachey impaling Knight quartering Lewknor with Martin in pretence.
Bulstrode Peachey (c. 1681-1736) of West Dene, Sussex and Chawton, Hampshire was M.P. for Midhurst from 1722-1736. He bought burgages from the 6th Lord Montagu (see following lot). He married in 1725, Elizabeth (baptised 18 August 1674), daughter of Michael Martin of Eynsham as her second husband. Elizabeth Martin first married William Woodward who assumed the surname of Knight and was buried at Chawton in 1721. Bulstrode Peachey also assumed the surname of Knight and was also buried at Chawton on 23 January 1735/36. His wife died without issue and was buried at Chawton on 17 March 1737/38.
