Archduchess Marie-Louise of Austria (1791-1847), daughter of Emperor Francis I of Austria, became Emperor Napoleon's second wife in 1810. In 1811, she bore him a son (see lots 105 and 113). On Napoleon's abdication, she returned to Austria and was awarded the Duchy of Parma. In 1822 she entered into a morganatic marriage with Count Neipperg.
