A BLACK AND WHITE MARX BROTHERS
PHOTOGRAPH, CIRCA 1916
A rare black and white photograph of the Marx Brothers. During World War I they purchased a farm in order to stay in America and pursue their entertainment careers. Not being farmers, before the government inspectors would arrive, the brothers would purchase eggs at the local store and place them under the chickens. On the back of the photograph handwritten in pencil Harpo, Gummo, Zeppo, Groucho--framed--8 x 10 inches.
