JOHN BARRYMORE'S ANNOTATED HAMLET, TEMPLE 1922
In 1922 Ethel Barrymore gave her brother John a Temple edition copy of Hamlet. This book was to be the catalyst for what is still considered the classic portrayal of Shakespeare's Hamlet. The red leather volume is heavily annotated throughout in pencil, including four different self portraits by John Barrymore.
