A costume worn by actor James Mason in the 1952 remake of The Prisoner of Zenda, the story of an Englishman who becomes embroiled in defeating a rebel plot in Ruritania. The military style jacket of the uniform is blue heavy wool, lined in blue satin, the front embellished with horizontal blue and gold braid and gold tone buttons. In the collar the sewn in tag Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer James Mason 1579 9755. The trousers are matching blue wool with wide stripe border on each outer seam.
