A ROBERT TAYLOR COSTUME FROM IVANHOE, M.G.M., 1952
A medieval costume worn by actor Robert Taylor in the 1952 Academy Award Best Picture Nominated film Ivanhoe, co-starring Elizabeth Taylor and Joan Fontaine. The waist length taupe wool jacket is lined in gray satin blend, the sleeves brown suede. The front of the jacket is hook fastened, embellished with taupe braiding. Sewn into the inside collar is the tag M. Berman Ltd. 18 Irving St. Leicester Sq. W.C.2 Mr. Robert Taylor. The sleeveless over-tunic is burnt orange wool, with a heavily embroidered dragon on the front and back. Sewn into the inside collar is the tag Film and Theatrical Costumes M. Berman Ltd. 18 Irving St. Leicester Sq. W.C. 2 Robert Taylor.
