A WORCESTER (DR. WALL) DOUBLE-LIPPED TWO-HANDLED SAUCEBOAT

Painted in the famille rose palette, the lips moulded as shells, the sides moulded with leaves scrolling around circular panels painted with figures in landscapes on either side of the broken-scroll handles with animal-head thumb rests, the interior of the basin with a loose bouquet, scattered butterflies and a flowerhead, the lips with a scale-pattern band suspending flowerheads and flanking a trellis cartouche, the underside with collection and exhibition labels --8 3/8 in. (21.3 cm.) wide
