Each with domed lid fitted with a blossoming finial above an ovoid vessel with foliate-cast collar above a waisted neck, with beaded fruiting oakleaf-cast scroll handles, the base with similarly cast pierced mounts, on waisted socle and beaded square plinth-27¾in. (70.5cm.) high (2)

Lot Essay

The firm of Boudet, an important atelier specializing in ameublement d'arts, bronzes and works of art are recorded at this address from 1886 (see D. Ledoux Lebard, Le Mobilier Français du XIXe Siècle, 1989, p.95. A virtually identical pair of urns was sold in these Rooms, 4 November 1992, lot 26.
