A LOUIS XV ORMOLU-MOUNTED KINGWOOD AND MARQUETRY COMMODE
MID-18TH CENTURY

With serpentine moulded liver and grey mottled top above two long bombé drawers inlaid sans traverse with scrolling floral sprays and mounted sans traverse with scrolling foliate encadrements issuing similarly cast pulls, the sides similarly veneered and mounted, the angles fitted with pierced scrolling foliate chutes continuing down splayed legs to foliate scroll sabots, stencilled with the inventory number '305' (remounted)-35in. (98cm.) high, 54in. (137cm.) wide, 25in. (64cm.) deep
