With rectangular three-quarter galleried top inlaid with trellis parquetry enclosing paterae above a panelled frieze fitted with a drawer enclosing a leather-lined slide and compartment for writing utensils, the frieze mounted with recumbent goats issuing fruiting scrolling foliage in the style of Pierre Gouthière on square tapering legs headed by ribbon-entwined acanthus and floral garlands and edged in berried banding continuing down to foliate-cast sabots, branded with the royal château de St. Cloud marque au feu and bearing the stamp Riesener F.C. 1769-29½in. (75cm.) high, 24in. (61cm.) wide, 17½in. (44cm.) deep
