The cartonnier with later rectangular pierced galleried top above a panelled rectangular case, the side fitted with a cabinet door fitted with three drawers above an ogee base, the bureau-plat with rectangular tapering top centrally fitted with a tambour slide enclosing an interior fitted with a gilt-tooled writing panel, the sides with a spring-operated mechanism to expand the writing surface, above a frieze fitted with two drawers flanked by a pedestal enclosing two further drawers, on square tapering brass-inlaid fluted legs ending in block sabots (restorations)-58½in. (148.5cm.) high, 67in. (170cm.) wide, 31¼in. (79.5cm.) deep
