The Maori example of curved form with Paua shell along interior surface, a bone barbed hook lashed to the end with feather attached at botom, flax trolling line lashed to top. The Tongan example with a whalebone shank, the backs with pearl shell, turtle shell barb, fiber hackle, binding and wood.
