Each square rank badge (hyunghae) [worn by a civil offical of the Choson government] embroidered in silk threads of white, navy, medium blue, green, yellow and purple on a blue silk ground with a large crane holding in its beak rui fungus against a background of clouds and above waves, a good-omen Sanskrit svastika symbol in the center of the waves, mounted on card and now glazed- 8 x 7 1/2 in.
