Yang In-Ok was born in Cheju and graduated from the Western-style painting division at the Osaka School of Fine Arts. During the period 1956-76 his work was shown in the "National" exhibition, and in 1963 he was awarded first prize at the Mok Woo Ho Institute. He had numerous one person shows between 1957 and 1976. In 1981 he exhibited his work in the "Korean Modern Art" exhibition at the National Museum of Modern Art in Seoul. Yang In-Ok is the president of Ho Nam University.
