Early in his career, Brock Pemberton was employed as an assistant to the drama critic of the New York Times. By the 1920s he had become known as a theatrical producer and was associated with the Pulitzer Prize winning play, Miss Lulu Bett. Several decades later he produced the hit play Harvey.
