Property from the Estate of PETER MORSE The late Peter Morse devoted much of his life to research on prints and printmakers. His decision to write a comprehensive catalogue on the etchings of John Sloan stemmed from a personal love of the work and of Sloan's working methods. Peter Morse also worked on a variety of subjects ranging from Posada to Stanley William Hayter, from Daumier to Kollwitz, artist's who in their own ways, like Sloan, treated the human condition in their work, sometimes with humor, always with understanding.
