The bowl with deep, rounded sides rising from the slightly flared, pedestal foot to an everted rim incised with geometric diaper, the sides carved in shallow relief with four of the Buddhist emblems separated by the character xiang, all bordered by bound and conjoined straps, the domed cover decorated with the other four Buddhist emblems separated by the character ji within similar borders below the reticulated cushion-form finial carved with a coiled dragon grasping a flaming pearl, the translucent stone of even color with some added russet coloring--8 3/8 in. (21.2cm.) diam., box
