DESIGNED BY GREENE AND GREENE AND EXCUTED IN THE WORKSHOPS OF PETER HALL FOR THE BLACKER HOUSE, PASADENA, CALIFORNIA, 1907

The square lantern with curving overhung top of oriental inspiration, the leaded glass in iridescent shades of amber, two sides depicting stylized seagulls in flight, the other sides with stylized poppy blossoms, the framework inlaid with a metal design on each side, with the firm's characteristic ebony pegs--43 3/4in. (111cm.) high, 18in. x18in. (45.6cm. x45.6cm.) diameter of lantern
