Well carved in the figures of the hero Omori Hikohichi carrying on his back the demon woman, a Hannya, in a pose of fording the stream, details carefully rendered, signed on the reverse Shoko and with kakihan, in wood tomobako inscribed on the lid Omori Hikohichi kibori netsuke saku (carved wood netsuke of Omori Hikohichi) and on the underside of the lid Shoko saku with kakihan and with three seals and dated Showa hinoe-inu (1946)- 2 in. (5.1 cm.) high
