MEIJI PERIOD (LATE 19TH CENTURY), SIGNED MORITSUGU

Comprised of a central ivory cylinder set on a silver support of four bracket feet and fitted with a long, fluted silver neck, the ivory section carved in high relief with the seven household gods, signed on an oval plaque on the side of the ivory cylinder Shutoku and sealed Hayashi, and applied with two silver dragon handles, a further dragon encircling the neck, the foot and neck additionally ornamented with enamelled flowers- 16 3/8 in. (41.5 cm.) high, dents and old repairs
