MEIJI PERIOD (LATE 19TH CENTURY)
Of tapered hexagonal form with tall, cylindrical neck decorated in thick enamels of white, red, green and blue and with gilt with six panels of still lifes or landscapes on each of the six sides, with phoenixes and banners at the midsection and with long, shaped panels of geese and snow or sparrows and peonies against a brocade background on the neck, all reserved on a cream crackle glaze ground- 11 3/4 in. (29.7 cm.) high
