Of ovoid form with waisted neck and galleried rim, decorated in thick, colored enamels and gilt on a cream crackle glaze ground with a large shaped panel of samurai fighting in the snow or of one warrior slaying another between elaborate sections of brocade and foliage, the neck and foot painted with dense brocade or flower and dragon medallions- 9 1/4 in. (23.4 cm.) high
