EDO PERIOD (CIRCA 1680), SIGNED KISHINMARU KUNISHIGE
Sugata: with shinogi-zukuri, iori-mune and chu-kissaki; nagasa: 1 shaku, 8 sun (54.6cm.); sori: koshi-zori of 1.3cm.; fumbari: 0.9cm. Jihada: ko-itame with scattered ji-nie. Hamon: a wide-banded gonome notare in bright nie and with scattered, ragged patches of nie flitting through the midsection of the hamon. Boshi: ko-maru with medium kaeri. Nakago. keitai: ura: wide, tapering and with a moist, brown patina; yasurime: kesho-yasuri; nakagojiri: ha-agari kuri-jiri; mekugi-ana: one; katanamei: Kishinmaru Kunishige. Shirasaya; silk storage bag.
