Comprising: black lacquer fuemaki saya (some chips and lacquer loss); black wrapped tsuka fitted with (dai) a pair of shakudo and gold dragon menuki and (sho) a pair of shakudo and gold ho-o menuki and a daisho pair of shakudo fuchi-kashira deeply carved and molded with massed bamboo, unsigned; the dai and sho are fitted fitted with matching kurigata; an extremely rare pair of Choshu-style iron Kinai tsuba carved and pierced with a standing row of bamboo and branches, the dai signed Nagato Hagi (no) ju Kaneko Jurobei/Kochu, the sho signed Echizen (no) ju Kinai saku; the sho is fitted with a Goto style shakudo nanako kozuka applied in gold and shakudo with four "precious things", unsigned--length of koshirae 97.5, 71.5 cm., length of tsuka 22.8, 16.2 cm., diameter of tsuba 8.1, 7.5 cm.
