MOMOYAMA PERIOD (CIRCA 1570)
Sugata: of ohira-zukuri with maru-mune; nagasa: 1 shaku, 1 sun, 9 bu (36 cm.). Jihada: itame. hamon: gonome and strongly pointed notare in nie and nioi and in the monouchi the nie becomes more pronounced, especially on the ura. Boshi: midare-komi. Nakago keitai: ubu, wide, uplifted and with a dry, grey-brown patina; yasurime: sujikai; nakagojiri: kengyo; mekugi-ana: one; mei: tachi-mei, traces of a mei which has been rubbed out. Shirasaya.
Accompanied by a shinteisho, no. 1022, dated Heisei 5 (1993), issued by the Nihon Token Hozon Kai.
