EARLY EDO PERIOD (SECOND HALF 17TH CENTURY), ATTRIBUTED TO AIZU KANETOMO

Sugata: with shinogi-zukuri, iori-mune and chu-kissaki; nagasa: 2 shaku, 3 sun, 3 bu (70.7 cm.); sori: shallow koshi-zori of 0.7 cm. Jihada: itame masame. Hamon: gonome muidare in nioi and profuse and florid nie, becoming ara-nie in many areas and with sunagashi scattered along the length of the hamon. Boshi: strong hakikake. Nakago keitai: suriage, tapering and with a medium brown patina; yasurime: kesho-yasuri; nakagojiri: kiri-jiri; mekugi-ana: three; mei, mumei. Shirasaya without tsuka
