ADAMS, JOHN, President. Autograph free frank ("J. Adams"), as delegate to Congress(?), on folded address leaf (front panel only present) addressed in Adams's hand to "Mrs. [Abigail] Adams Quincy," brown circular "PHI/FE/25" Franklin mark, labelled "Scraps" on the verso, in the shaky hand of the elderly John Adams.
A frank which almost certainly dates from Adams' service as a Massachusetts delegate to the Continental Congress, 1775-1777.
