Born in Bologna, Corsini (1688-1772) worked there, as well as in Rome (on the Trevi Fountain, 1735). Pope-Hennessy, Catalogue of Italian Sculpture in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, 1964, Vol II, cat. no. 705, p. 660 and Vol III, pl. no 695, p. 409.
