The serpentine incised crest with scrolled ears centering a carved five-lobed shell above a shaped splat over a trapezoidal slip-seat, on cabriole legs with trifid feet, appears to retain original slip-seat marked III (the carved tulip motif in the front searail may be a later addition)--40in. high, the seat 20 1/4in. wide, 16 1/4in. deep
