ATTRIBUTED TO AARON CHAPIN, EAST WINDSOR, CONNECTICUT, 1765-1785
The rectangular top above a slant lid opening to reveal a fitted interior with central fan-carved drawer over a scooped drawer and a short drawer flanked by four valanced pigeon holes above two short and one long drawer, all over four thumbmolded graduated long drawers and central fan-carved drop, on curvatious cyma feet with lobed returns and high squared pad, appears to retain original hardware (gallery a later addition)--42 1/2in. high, 40 5/8in. wide, 22in. deep
