The rectangular top with ovolo corners and reeded edge above a conforming case fitted with two cockbeaded long drawers centered by reeded columns over a shelf with rear gallery and concave front, flanked by reeded reverse-swelled supports, on reeded tapering legs with brass ball socket castors--36in. high, 36in. wide, 19 3/4in. deep

The form of this serving table relates to two labled tables made by New York cabinetmaker Michael Allison (Montgomery, American Furniture (New York, 1966), fig. 339). The reeded legs, turreted corners, central shelf and ferrule ball feet are shared by a number of New York serving and chamber tables. This is one of the few examples with a galleried back and two long drawers rather than two short drawers above a long drawer.
