A STAFFORDSHIRE SALTGLAZE TEAPOT AND COVER
CIRCA 1745

Modelled as a house, the roof as the cover, with foliate-moulded scroll spout and notched loop handle, the pot moulded on both sides with three stories of windows, an arched entrance with a figure and a lion rampant above a fleur-de-lis, on a flaring stepped base, the windows, arches and roof enriched with cobalt, Jacobs Collection no. 320--4¼in. (11cm.) high
