A STAFFORDSHIRE CREAMWARE SALTGLAZE COFFEE-POT AND COVER

The domed cover with knop finial, drawn in black and enamelled in bright blue, pink, green and yellow with a turret in a landscape above a trellis diaper band, the pear-shaped body with similar landscapes, the front with a courting couple, the back with a flautist, the dragon-head spout moulded with shell and acanthus and enamelled with flowers, the strap handle with pinched terminal, Jacobs Collection no. 455 (slight star crack to body, chip to lower lip at spout, rim chip to cover)--8 7/8in. (22.5cm.) high
