A WEDGWOOD QUEEN'S WARE GLOBULAR PUNCH-POT AND COVER
CIRCA 1785, IMPRESSED UPPERCASE MARK AND POTTER'S MARK, PROBABLY PRINTED BY GUY GREEN, LIVERPOOL

With pierced ball finial, leaf-moulded scroll spout, the loop handle moulded with overlapping leaf-tips and printed in black with 'The Virtuous Woman' and 'the Upright' in roundels with an inscription beneath a compass and flanked by four shaped cartouches enclosing scenes pertaining to the named subjects, Jacobs Collecton no. 447 (spout and part restuck, slight rubbing to the decoration)--7½in. (19cm.) high
