MAKER'S MARK OF TIFFANY & CO., NEW YORK, CIRCA 1869

Of vase form on stepped pedestal base, with a band of die-rolled spear-tips and inter-laced circles, the body engraved with borders of strapwork on a matted ground, applied with a mid-band with similar spear-tip pattern, the neck with engraved strapwork, the handle repousse and chased with stylized leaves, engraved on front with a monogram below armorials, engraved under base with inscription From R. & M. S. Dec. 9th 1869, marked, 1956/3814--13 3/4in. high
