A SEVEN-PIECE SILVER TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE
MAKER'S MARK OF TIFFANY & CO., NEW YORK, 1870-1875

Chased Ivy pattern; comprising hot water kettle on stand with burner, coffee pot, teapot, hot milk pot, sugar bowl, cream jug and waste bowl; each of globular form on spreading circular base, repousse and chased with undulating ivy vines and leaves against a matted ground, the handles with ivory insulators, the covers with similar decoration and pine cone finials, each engraved with a monogram in a small oval reserve, marked, coffee pot 2243/5867, teapot 2243/2798, hot milk pot 2323/1934, sugar bowl 2243/5867, cream jug 2243/2798, waste bowl 2243/2798, hot water kettle 2243/2860--height of kettle on stand 12 1/4in.
