Of shaped globular form, on molded base, part-fluted with a band of repousse acanthus vines and flowers, with a similar band on the neck, the handle shaped as a branch, engraved with an intricate monogram CdeBM, the base engraved From many friends with Tiffany & Co. Oct. 22 '89, marked, 5066/8528--8 1/4in. high

Lot Essay

This pitcher was given to Corinne de Bebian Moore as a wedding present from friends at Tiffany & Co. in 1889, when her husband's grandfather, Edward C. Moore, was chief designer. John C. Moore became President of Tiffany & Co. in 1907.
