The later demi-lune green and black Anglesea marble top above a fluted frieze with foliate panel, on incurved husk-bound reeded legs joined by a curved stretcher- 32½in.(82cm.) high, 48½in.(123cm.) wide, 23in.(58cm.) deep

The distinctive incurved ribbon-entwined reeded legs on this piece relate it to a pair belonging to the Earls of Lonsdale, Lowther Castle, Cumberland and sold Christie's London, 27 June 1985, lot 146 (illustrated in G. Beard and J. Goodison, English Furniture 1500-1840, 1987, p. 214).
