Northern Greece, Macedonia, Demetrius Poliorcetes (294-288 BC), Silver Tetradrachm of Salamis, Cyprus, 16.1 gms., Nike standing on prow facing left, blowing trumpet, rev. naked Poseidon, striding to the left wielding trident, chlamys draped over left arm (Boston 705; SNG Cop. 1193), obverse edge knock at 12 o'clock, otherwise nearly very fine and toned, a very respectable example of this magnificent type, struck to celebrate Demetrius' victory over Ptolemy I in 306 BC
