Handwritten in gilt and black ink on vellum board, the cover lined in green silk and gold thread, linked with black and gold thread to a large Imperial Seal encased in a silver-gilt circular box, repousse and chased with the Imperial Eagle, maker's mark G.T. possibly for Gabriel Marten Tolpo, Saint Petersburg, additional cyrillic initials A.YA; together with a seperate leaf with the Brykin family crest; also with an appointment of Stepan Brykin signed by Paul I in 1799 - diameter of seal case 5¼in. (13.5cm.)
