The kovsh with curled banded handle, the prow engraved with the monogram for Grand Duke Nikolai Nikolaievich, presented for fourth place of the 1908 Warsaw Steeple-chase, marked under base with maker's mark of Marshak, Kiev, 1898-1908 - 4¾in. (12.1cm.) long; together with a pair of cufflinks in the form of horseshoes, marked with cyrillic initials P.T, Saint Petersburg, circa 1890
