Of globular form on circular base, chased with sea life and foliage, the stem formed as three bamboo trees, the body similarly chased with Chinese village scenes, one side with a vacant cartouche, with two branch-form handles issuing from leaves, with waisted neck below a gadrooned rim, the domed cover chased with shells and scrolls and applied with similar bamboo leaves, surmounted by a hawk perched on a branch with a snake in its mouth, marked under base and on cover--17½in.(44.5cm.) high
