Each of shaped oblong form, the rim applied with acanthus scrolls and shells at intervals, the fluted domed cover chased with a band of paterae and acanthus on a matted ground, applied above with foliate bands and rocaille, the handle formed as acanthus-clad scrolls, the covers engraved on one side with a monogram, and on the other, with a crest, the bases engraved with a crest, also engraved with a Viscount's coronet, fully marked--11¾in.(29.8cm.) long
