Of shaped circular form, the stand raised on four paw feet with curved gadrooned supports, with a band of gadrooning and two scroll acanthus-clad handles, with removable plated two-part liner, the silver shaped circular dish with a gadrooned border with anthemion and rocaille shells at intervals, the high domed cover chased with a band of fluting rising to a similar band and surmounted by a tied reeded handle issuing from a sunburst of acanthus leaves and lion's heads, the cover engraved with a coat-of-arms and motto within a scroll cartouche, the dish engraved with two crests, marked on dish, cover and finial--length over handles 14in.(35.6cm.)
