1946 MOST VALUABLE PLAYER BALLOTS
This lot consists of the original American and National League Most Valuable Player Ballots cast by sports writers Donald Donaghey and John Drohan in 1946. Both writers voted as their first choice the ultimate winners - Ted Williams in the American League and Stan Musial in the National League. Ken Smith of the New York Daily Mirror apparently tallied all votes. Scarce ephemera from a not usually public procedure. (2)
